Ishkhan Saghatelyan Elected NA Vice President
On August 6, the Parliament continued the work of the first session of the NA eighth convocation.
It should be reminded that on the previous day, the deputy of the Armenia Faction Ishkhan Saghatelyan was nominated as a candidate for the post of the NA Vice President by the opposition for the third time.
After the voting by secret ballot, the Chairman of the NA Counting Commission Narek Babayan informed that 103 deputies out of 107 took part in the election, 2 voting papers were recognized invalid. 64 deputies voted for Ishkhan Saghatelyan’s candidacy, and 37 – against. So, Ishkhan Saghatelyan was elected NA Vice President.
Ishkhan Saghatelyan thanked the citizens who voted for their alliance. "You have given us a mandate and we are obliged to fully represent you in the National Assembly." In the NA Vice President’s opinion, there are many problems and challenges in the country which should be overcome.
