The National Assembly on Wednesday did not pass the package of bills—submitted by opposition MPs Ishkhan Saghatelyan, Aram Vardevanyan, and Aghvan Vardanyan—which proposed criminalizing any expression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia, News.am reports.
The MPs of the ruling majority "Civil Contract" Faction voted against these drafts—which received 30 votes in favor, 63 against, and 1 abstention.
