On May 2, at 16:50 local time (at 12:50 by GMT), the Seismological Network of the Regional Survey for Seismic Protection of the MES of the RA recorded an earthquake at the northern latitude 41.18⁰ and eastern longitude 43.95⁰ geographic coordinates (Georgia –Armenia border zone, 14 km northeast from the village of Bavra), with 2.7 magnitude and 10 km depth.
The tremor measured magnitude 3-4 points at the epicenter area.
The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra, Sizavet and Saragyugh in Shirak Province with 3 points intensity.
