A 4.0 magnitude quake struck the Kovancılar district of Turkey’s eastern Elazığ province on Wednesday, accrding to ilkha, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at around 07:24, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.8538 degrees north and a longitude of 40.1218 degrees east, and at a depth of 6.99 km.
There are no immediate reports of serious damage or deaths.
