The Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party re-elected Xi Jinping to the post of General Secretary of Communist Party of China on Sunday, according to Xinhua news agency, TASS reports.
The Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party also elected a new Politburo on Sunday, according to China Central Television. According to Xinhua news agency, it included 24 members of the party.
The voting was held at the first plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Li Xi, Cai Qi, and Ding Xuexiang became the members of the Committee.
