Angela Merkel. Christians, Jews and Muslims all Have a Place in Germany
On Thursday Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that Germany will protect Jews and Muslims living in Germany from prejudice, by stating that Christians, Jews and Muslims all have a place in Germany, reports the Jerusalem Post. Merkel made this announcement in a session of the lower house of parliament Bundestag.
As Reuters informs, she has also added that both anti-Semitism and attacks on mosques will be prosecuted by adding: “because we won't be divided by those using Islamist terrorism to cast suspicion on all Muslims in Germany. As chancellor I will protect Muslims in our country. All of us in this house will do that," - she said.
