Special School for LBGT community will be Opened in Britain
Within the next three years Britain is planning to open a school for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) young people. This school is planned to be based in the center of Manchester and as The Guardian reports, “the school will invite 40 full-time students from across the area and will offer up to 20 part-time places for young people who want to continue attending a mainstream school”.
According to strategic director for LGBT Youth North West Amelia Lee, despite the claims that the LGBT community is protected, they are still being bullied, especially at schools. “This causes young people to feel isolated and alienated, which often leads to truanting and, in the worst-case scenarios, to suicide”, - said Amelia Lee, reports The Guardian.
