The Western sanctions seem to have already reached to the Russian TV channels. In Crimea, for example, the whole network of the channels of "Gazprom-Media" company stopped working. According to the cable provider from Sevastopol - SevStar, the whole reason is the fear of sanctions from the West. Such channels like Cinema Club, Kinohit, Cinema Union, NTV +, Our Football, NTV +, Sport +, Movies, Our new Cinema, etc. have been closed.
"On December 2014 "Gazprom-Media" company fearing of the sanctions from West, decided to suspend their services in Crimea. At the end of 2014 we received an official notice from the legal owner that the contract for 2015 will not be resigned,"- is said in the announcement of SevStar.
It is not only the closure of the "Gazprom-Media" channels that upset the people in Crimea. Particularly, as vesti-ukr.com informs, many American and European record labels, their holders and owners of youtube cahnnels blocked for Crimean people the official clips of most foreign performers.
Particularly the channels of the group System of a down (Vevo), the clips of Gorilaz and Daft Punk on Emimusik channel, Three Days Grace by Billy Talent (Atlantic records), Calvin Harris (Vevo) and many others are blocked.
