Armenia should be Part of Discussions on Regional Problems – Japaridze
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Tamar Beruchashvili called the developments of relations with Armenia"dynamical", reports Грузия-online. In his turn Tedo Japaridze, the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, announced that a new mechanism for a regular discussion of regional problems with the participation of Armenia and Iran should be formed. "Instead of letting the conflicts to grow and spread, our countries should develop a strategy for South Caucasus", - said Japaridze.
Referring to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Japaridze said that in case of renewal of this conflict Georgia can offer its territory for negotiations. "The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will appreciate having a venue that does not depend on Europeans, Russians and Americans. In their turn the US and Europe will favor Georgia’s support to improve the regional environment", - said Japaridze.
And what about their conflict? Who is going to offer a venue for negotiations in case their conflict is renewed?
