EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini  called for forming anti-terrorist alliance with the Arab countries, reports Associated Press.

The EU expressed its willingness to cooperate with the Arab countries against terrorist attacks during the meeting of the EU Council. According to the Foreign Affairs Ministers of many EU countries in order to solve the problem of the European combatants, who join the terrorist organizations, it is necessary to end the conflict in Syria and Iraq. During the meeting the British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond stated that more close cooperation with the  Arab  countries will strengthen  the European Union’s security. Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders in his turn considered the exchange of information between EU and other countries as a key factor in preventing terrorist attacks.

This and other plans are to be discussed by the EU leaders in the upcoming summit on terrorist attacks in February.
