The death of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah at the age of 90 made Great Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, who is now 88 years old, the oldest monarch in the world, The Daily Mail reports.

Elizabeth became Queen at the age of 25, has reigned through more than five decades and has celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 2012, marking 60 years as Queen.
