On January 28 in the evening, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) made a decision to suspend Russia’s voting rights until April. Members of the 47 countries voted 160-42 in favour of suspending Russia's credentials, reports uatoday.tv.

In response to the decision of PACE Aleksey Pushkov, the chief of Russia’s PACE delegation and chairman of the State Duma's Foreign Affairs Committee said that they are leaving PACE until the end of the year, reports rt.com. "As PACE stripped Russia of the right to vote in its governing bodies, we can no longer speak of any contacts with the organization," – he added.
