The Islamic State group has beheaded 3 Iraqi security personnel – a police officer and two soldiers, according to pictures posted online. However, the authenticity of the photos could not be independently confirmed, Skynews.com reports.
According to the photos posted online, the victims were killed with a machete.
Earlier on Saturday an online video was released showing an IS militant beheading Japanese journalist Kenij Goto. In the video, called "A message to the Government of Japan", the militant refers to the Japanese prime-minister: "because of your reckless decision to take part in an unwinnable war, this knife will not only slaughter Kenji, but will also carry on and cause carnage wherever your people are found. So let the nightmare for Japan begin."
