A video released online on Tuesday shows a Jordanian 26-year-old pilot being burned to death by Islamic State extremist group. Later Jordan has confirmed the death of pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh, who was captured when his plane came down near Raqqa, Syria in December, during a mission against Islamic State.
Jordan’s King Abdullah hailed Moaz al-Kasasbeh as a hero, saying that he had died defending his beliefs and that from now on Jordan must "stand united".
UN Secretary- General Ban Ki-Moon, US president Barack Obama and other high-level officials have condemned the killing of Jordanian pilot. Un Security Council also strongly condemned the "heinous and cowardly act".
