Jordan hanged two Iraqi militants on Wednesday in response to Islamic State burning alive captured Jordanian pilot. Among the two militants was Sajida al-Rishawi, an Iraqi woman sentenced to death in 2005 for her role in bomb attack in Amman. ISIS had demanded her release in exchange for a Japanese hostage, who later was killed.
The other militant was a senior Al-Qaida prisoner who was sentenced to death in 2008. The prisoners were executed in Swaqa prison, south of the capital Amman.
