Germany said there was "zero" chance it would pay World War II reparations to Athens, following a renewed demand from Greek government.
"We Germans are fully aware of our political and moral responsibility for the terrible events between 1941 and 1944 in Greece… Still, we are firmly convinced that all reparations issues, including forced loans, have been judicially settled once-and-for-all", - Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier told, Euronews reports.
Germany denies owing anything more after the 115 million marks it paid in 1960. But Athens consider that money to be only an initial payment.
