The UN’s refugee agency has informed that motorboats sank in the Mediterranean Sea on which migrants were traveling. As a result 200 of them died and only nine of them were saved, reports BBC.

"Nine were saved after four days at sea. The other 203 were swallowed by the waves," – wrote Carlotta Sami, the UNHCR's spokeswoman in Italy, on her Twitter.

As BBC informs, the International Organization for Migration said that the boats that sank in the Mediterranean Sea had departed from the Libyan coast on Saturday.
