On February 10, at about 7:55 pm on the frontline position of a NKR military unit (in the northern direction) a soldier of Karabakh Army, Tigran Simonyan, born in 1991, received a gunshot wound and died.
On the occasion Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spread disinformation according to which Azerbaijani armed forces destroyed Armenian two intelligence groups and killed "the commander of the Armenian special unit forces, Tigran Simonyan". Spokesman of NKR Defense Ministry Senor Hasratyan commenting on the disseminated disinformation called it another provocation from the Azerbaijani side, Panorama.am reports.
"This is another provocation of the Azerbaijani state propaganda. NKR Defense Ministry has already reported that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the soldier's death. There was no act of sabotage from the Armenian side as it is against our position on the issue", - stated the Spokesman of NKR Defense Ministry.
