Despite the Minsk Agreement New Sanctions Against Russia will Enter into Force

Despite of the new Minsk Agreement, the sanctions adopted by the EU against 19 individuals and nine legal entities including from Russia will enter into force, as it was planned beforehand, on February 16, RIA Novosti reports. This was declared by German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Brussels. She even did not exclude the possibility of new sanctions against Russia if the implementation if the new Minsk Agreement goes bad.

"If all goes well, we will be happy to accompany this process (on the implementation of the new arrangements in Ukraine), if there are difficulties, we do not exclude further sanctions,"- said Merkel.
