Policy of Turkey on the Armenian Genocide: Stuck in Stereotypes

Turkish Radikal news agency published an article entitled "The Lie of Leaving Genocide to Historians" in which the suggestion from Turkey to open archives and   let the historians study the past was criticized, Panorama reports.

According to the author of the article such kind of suggestion from Turkey reveals the true nature of Turkish policy on the issue; "the one stuck in stereotypes". The author fairly notes that no matter how many archives are opened; it will be naïve to think that Turkey is going to make any of the documents of the Turkish Supreme Court, relating to the Armenian Genocide, available.   "The Erdogan’s announcements relating to the Armenian Genocide are nothing else but pure revisions of the same lie with every day", - the author stated.  In addition the author also noted that Erdogan’s recent initiative to invite President of Armenia to the 100th anniversary of Battle of the Dardanelles is another proof that "Erdogan is loyal to his own lies.”
