The militants in Damascus blew up a gas pipeline in the southern part of the city, as a result of which the capital of Syria is now left without electricity, Sputnik reports. The gas pipeline explosion was confirmed by the Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis. He also added that a repair team was sent to the site.
As Sputnik informs the military actions in Damascus intensified after the government forces took control of some strategic areas in the south-eastern part of the city.
