The Parliament of Greece elected pro-European conservative Prokopis Pavlopoulos as the President of the country. He received 233 votes out of 300-seat chamber, Aljazeera.com reports.
According to the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras Pavlopoulos enjoys broad approval in society and parliament and has a high feeling of national conscience.
