German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of Ukraine Poroshenko had a telephone conversation, Russian service of BBC reports.
The main topic of discussion was the fulfillment of the Minsk arrangements by the conflict parties in south-eastern Ukraine.
On the occasion the politicians agreed that the OSCE mission must get access to the region to conduct monitoring there.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian President, the leaders also discussed the necessity to release all captured soldiers, including the pilot, Nadezhda Savchenko, who at present is under investigation in Russia.
