40 days passed after Avetisyan family was killed in Gyumri. Relatives of the family visited their graves, burnt incense. For the first time after the brutal murder, three of the relatives of Avetisyan family were allowed to enter the house and take some pictures.
On January 12 a Russian soldier form 102nd Military base in Gyumri, Valeri Permyakov shot dead the six members of an Armenian family in Gyumri. Only a six-month old baby boy was wounded. For seven days doctors struggled for saving the life of the small boy, he was twice operated, but on January 19 died in hospital.
Two criminal cases are opened – Armenia opened under Article 104 part 2 point 1 (murder of two or more persons) of the Criminal Code of Armenia and Russia under articles “desertion” and “murder.” The investigation is underway.
