Despite the protests of the Turkish opposition the 10 out of 132 articles of Homeland Security Bill passed in the Turkish Parliament. According to this bill the police will be granted wider powers to search people and vehicles, Hurriyet reports.
The debates in the Parliament over the Security Bill beginning with Article 11 will start this week. According to the opposition this bill is preparing ground for a police state.
