The militants of the terrorist organization Islamic State blew up the Virgin Mary Church and the books of the Central Library of Mosul, ALALAM reports. As it is reported around ten thousand books were burnt among them rare books and manuscripts. People have tried to prevent the terrorists form doing that but they have failed.
The Iraqi city Mosul was taken by IS militants in June, 2014 and as Sputnik reports over 1,000 to 2,000 extremists currently occupying the city.
