Heads of the US and Iran foreign affairs, Mohammad Javad Zarif and John Kerry, had a meeting on Sunday, to continue negotiations around Iran nuclear agreement, ТАСС reports.

The meeting took place in the hotel “President Wilson”. In the second half of the day, immediately after arriving in Geneva, Kerry went to meet Javad Zarif. After the meeting had started, the heads of foreign affairs only left the building to have a walk around Lake Geneva.

In the evening, Iranian Vice President, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Ali Akbar Salehi, and US Energy Secretary, Ernest Moniz, joined the negotiators.

Previously Kerry declared that the US President “was not prone at all” to extend the deadline of the  negotiations for one more time.  At the same time Kerry also declared that there were still “essential disagreements” present in the negotiations.

According to Javad Zarif: “the negotiations around Iran nuclear program should be in parallel to the annulment of sanctions”, - ТАСС reports

Foreign Minister of Iran also noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency has not found evidence that the nuclear program is not peaceful. “We had to sacrifice a lot in order to prove the peaceful nature of the program ".

The negotiations are to continue on Monday and possibly will last “the whole day”, western information sources report.
