US Accuses Israel of “Information Leaking”

White House spokesman Josh Earnest accused Israel of "cherry-picking" information concerning the US position in Iran nuclear negotiations and using it out of context, BBC reports.

On Wednesday, Earnest stated that the US wants to keep negotiations private and is worried of its selective leaks from the side  of Israel.  On the occasion he particularly mentioned: "There's no question that some of the things that the Israelis have said in characterizing our negotiating position have not been accurate."

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki also commented on the issue confirming that there was a "selective sharing" of information.  "I think it's safe to say that not everything you're hearing from the Israeli government is an accurate reflection of the details of the talks",-  Psaki noted on the occasion, BBC reports.

Negotiations with Iran are due to begin again on Friday.  The US Secretary of State John Kerry visited Geneva on Sunday for two-day talks with Iran's Foreign Minister. Iran and the six are currently working on an interim agreement that is to be reached for the end of March.
