A US court in New York made a decision against the Palestine Liberation Organisation and the Palestinian Authority for the attacks in Israel over 10 years ago, BBC reports.
According to the data presented by the court as a result of the six attacks in and outside Jerusalem 33 people were killed and hundreds more were wounded during the second Palestinian intifada between 2002 and 2004.
The compensation for the victims is estimated more than $218m by the court. The Palestinian groups opposed the court's decision and declared of their intention to appeal it.
The lawsuit was filed in a US court, because some of the victims were American citizens. The decision of the court is in favor of 10 American families who demanded compensation for the damages inflicted on them during the six attacks.
At the end it is interesting to notice that the Israeli government has denied any official involvement in the lawsuit.
