The US State Secretary John Kerry in his speech addressed to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, declared that the representatives of Russia was lying to his face on Ukraine, BBC reports.
In response to the question of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, on the possibility of Russia’s lying on Ukraine, Kerry confidently assured:
“Russia is engaged in a rather remarkable period of the most overt and extensive propaganda excursive that I've seen since the very height of the Cold War. And they have been persisting in their misrepresentations, lies - whatever you want to call them - about their activities there to my face, to the face of others on many different occasions.”
According to Kerry the representatives of Russian government consistently deny, that the forces commanded by them are fighting in Ukraine and that they supply weapons to “separatists”; the statement that according to the Western countries does not correspond to reality.
At the same time Kerry refused to comment on the calls of the US congressmen’s and Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko to supply weapons’ to Ukraine, instead stating that such a measure is still "under discussion" between the Obama administration and Congress.
