According to the data received at the end of 2014 China has 1 billion 367 million population, Tass reports. As compared with 2013, the growth of Chinese population comprised 7.1 million.
There is also a great gender imbalance in China. Men are more from women by 33.8 million. Children under 16 make up 17.5% of the whole population, working people (16-60 age) make up 67% and elderly – 15.5%.
