US Representative Judy Chu in the US House of Representatives commemorated the Sumgait, Baku, and Kirovabad massacres, armenianweekly reports. She condemned the Azerbaijani brutal and racially motivated pogroms. "The peaceful movement for self-determination and freedom was followed by premeditated and government-sponsored attacks," – said Judy Chu.
The US Representative also condemned the ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan and expressed hope for peaceful resolution of the conflict. "Hope that its (Nagorno-Karabakh) citizens will be free to determine their own future."
