The movement of Istanbul Armenians "Nor Zartonk" ("New Renaissance") and Armenian-members of the Kurdish Democratic People’s Party – demand from their party to nominate Armenian candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
As Demokrathaber informs, they sent two letters to the Council of the Democratic People’s Party requiring nominating two Armenian candidates for election – a woman and a man. The letter states that, if the party meets their demands, the Armenian community will greatly support their campaign.
The next parliamentary elections in Turkey will be held on June 7, 2015.
