Kazakhstan is going to hold early presidential elections, despite the fact that in accordance with the schedule presidential elections should be held in 2016. The president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev announced that the early presidential elections  will be held on April 26. "Today I hold the consultations with the leadership of Senate, Majilis (lower house of the Parliament), kazakhstani PM and chairman of the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan… Therefore, in the people’s interests, taking into account its request, the general will, and for the sake of strict implementation of the basic law, I made a decision, and in accordance with paragraph 3-1 of Article 41 of the Constitution, I signed a decree to hold the early presidential elections on April 26, 2015," – explained Nursultan Nazarbayev, Info News reports.

It should be noted that earlier the lower house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan applied to President Nursultan Nazarbayev and asked to hold early presidential elections. Kazakhstan's ruling "Nur Otan" Party supported this initiative.

Nursultan Nazarbayev in a row holds the position of the president since December 1991. In 2011, he was re-elected for the fourth time.

Experts interpret the initiative of holding early presidential elections in different ways. Some of them believe that this decision is related to the internal and external problems of the country. This issue is indicated by the lower house of parliament in the message addressed to Nazarbayev. "Growing global economic crisis and the difficult conditions of the international agenda make the initiative of holding early presidental elections demand of the time," - noted the lower house in its letter to Nazarbayev.

They think the aim of the early elections is to stabilize the political and economic situation in the country.
