Washington Urges EU Partners Not to Do Business with Russia

Washington has once more urged the EU partners not to do any business with Russia until the Ukrainian crisis is not resolved, Sputnik reports. US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf commenting on the Cyprus President Nikos Anastasiadis' visit to Moscow and the bilateral agreements signed between Russia and Cyprus, said: "We’ve been clear that this is not the time for business as usual with Russia. We’ve stressed with our European allies and partners the importance of unity in pressing Russia to stop fueling conflict in eastern Ukraine. That’s certainly something we feel very strongly about."

As USnews informs, Russia and Cyprus signed a military cooperation agreement that would allow Russian navy ships to make regular port calls on the island. They also signed an agreement on anti-terrorism.
