Stanford University Students Can Participate in Centennial Commemorations in Istanbul

The Stanford Global Studies Division announced it will sponsor three Stanford University students to participate in the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemoration in Istanbul, Asbarez reports. Project 2015 board member Seepan Parseghian said they are grateful the Standford University has decided to support the commemoration of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Istanbul.

 "Being able to discuss issues such as the Armenian Genocide with scholars from Armenia and Turkey is of profound importance for our students’ intellectual growth," said Norman Naimark, Fisher Family Director of Stanford Global Studies.

Project 2015, which partner in Turkey is Durde organization, aims at giving people an opportunity to participate in the Centennial commemoration in Turkey and honor the memory of the victims of the Genocide.
