Monument Opened in Paris on the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide

On March 8 with the initiative of the French-Armenian "Blue Cross" Union as a part of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and on International Women’s Day hundreds of roses were placed in Yerevan Park in Paris. Also a monument was opened near the Statue of Komitas in commemoration of all women killed during the Genocide, a1plus.am reports.

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Armenian Ambassador to France Vigen Chitechyan, members of the Paris City Council, representatives of cultural and media circles, public and political figures, numerous French Armenians and Parisians were present in the event.
