In an interview with Vice News US President Barack Obama told that he is "embarrassed" for the letter 47 Republican Senators sent to Iranian leadership, Time reports.
"For them to address a letter to the Ayatollah, who they claim is our mortal enemy. And their basic argument to them is ‘Don’t deal with our president because you can’t trust him to follow through on an agreement.’ That’s close to unprecedented."
It is to be reminded that 47 Republican Senators sent a letter to Iranian leadership several days ago in which they expressed their opposition to the possible nuclear agreement between the West and Iran claiming that the agreement will not stay in force and will undergo to a number of changes after 2016 election, when Barack Obama will no longer be the US president.
