Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his French counterpart Laurent Fabius noted progress in the implementation of military aspects of the Minsk agreements on Ukrainian reconciliation, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The sides also underscored the need to intensify efforts aimed at meeting the humanitarian and socio-economic aspects of the agreement.
"The parties highlighted a positive shift in the implementation of the military aspects of the February 12, 2015 Minsk agreements, and underscored the need to intensify efforts aimed at meeting the humanitarian and socio-economic commitments stated [in the agreement], as well as implementation of political reforms," the statement published on the ministry’s website reads.
At the same time French Foreign Ministry underlined readiness of Paris to help restore the Donbas banking system.
