On Monday, March 16 the participants of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly Fourth Session visited Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, the press service of the Armenian Parliament reports. They paid tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the 1915 Genocide.
Speaking about the Armenian Genocide, Tatjana Zdanoka, Member of the European Parliament, representing Latvia, said that she was a student when she first heard about this atrocity and have thought how one can forget God’s commandment to love your neighbor.
In his turn, Jaromir Stetina, Member of the European Parliament, representing the Czech Republic, expressed his readiness to support the decisions and documents concerning the recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Referring to the resolution adopted by the European People’s Party (EPP), Stetina expressed his gratitude to the party.
