Armenia has Banned the Import of Poultry from Turkey
The head of State Service for Food Safety of Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Hayrapetyan’s issued an order to ban the import of some kind of food from Turkey from May 7 2015. The prohibited list of food includes birds, poultry, row materials such as feather and fluff, eggs, the flour of meat and bones, fodders, the boxes and gaskets made by polymer and cardboard.
The decision has been made on the base of recorded Bird Flue- H5H1 disease in order to prevent the penetration of the H5H1 to RA area. It is important to mention that imported foodstuff from Turkey to Armenia is under special laboratory control defined by order. Accordingly the food from Turkey can be imported only after permission.
