The European Parliament Demands Tightening Relations with Russia
The European parliamentarians demand to critically review relations between the EU and Russia, as Russia does not preserve principles of democracy and human rights. This was said in the statement adopted at the meeting of Parliament committee on international affairs.
During his speech in the Parliament, the parliamentarian Gabrielius Landsbergis reminded the parliamentarians, that the agreement in force now supposes that the relations between the EU and Russia are based on the principles of human rights and democracy. The time has come to state that these main principles are not being kept, he said, as Korrespondent.net reports, referring to Deutsche Welle.
The parliamentarian noticed, that normalization of relations between the EU and Russia are possible only if Moscow complies with the Minsk agreements and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
