In Riga a new agreement between the EU and Armenia may be developed. This was stated by the Latvian Ambassador for Eastern Partnership Yuris Poykans, RosBalt reports referring to Baltnew.
He said during the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga that will be held on May 21-22, that the EU can support Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova in the implementation of the Association Agreements. As for Armenia, there will be a special offer of cooperation. A new agreement on the RA-EU cooperation can be developed.
"We want to build our relations with all partners on the basis of the principle of equality," Poykans said adding that during the summit, it is planned to sign a declaration, which will fix the main directions of Eastern Partnership policy for two years.
