According to a senior Yemeni army official, Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Arab coalition's aircraft renewed strikes against targets in the southern Yemeni city of Aden after the expiration of a five-day humanitarian truce in the country, Sputnik News reports.
"They began bombing Aden a few minutes ago," an army commander loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh noted.
The truce between Shiite Houthi rebels and the coalition of Arab nations under Saudi Arabia's leadership was agreed last week on May 12 and expired late Sunday.
