The administration of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko offered Ukraine’s former leader to return to Kiev and prove his innocence in court. These remarks were done after Yanukovych's interview with the BBC.
It should be mentioned that Yanukovich admitted that he did not do enough to stop the conflict though he did not personally give any orders to fire at protesters, Sputnik News reports.
At the same time, he did not deny his responsibility for the bloodshed on Kiev's Maidan Square, which resulted in about one hundred deaths.
