Saeb Erekat, the Chief Palestinian negotiator said that there are no ongoing talks between Palestine and Israel for defusing the tensions between the two countries, The Times of Israel reports.
He rejected the source’s earlier report that the sides have come to an agreement for "halting international steps towards statehood in exchange for a settlement freeze." Moreover, Erekat told The Times of Israel that they will continue their international actions "to punish Israel for its alleged human rights violations, force it to obey international law and accept the Palestinian right to statehood in the territories."
