Three people were killed and one police officer was seriously injured when police attempted to arrest people in the southeastern province of Sirnak’s Silopi district.
The armed conflict launched when members of the Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H), the youth wing of the PKK, fought with long-barreled weapons and rockets at police officers, Hurriyet reports.
The police responded with fire.
