A 7-magnitude earthquake happened in Sheki, Azerbaijan, early Friday morning at 9:49AM, APA.az reports.
According to Republican Seismological Service Center the earthquake was of magnitude 7 in the epicenter and up to magnitude 6.5 in residential areas nearby.
The quake occurred at a depth of 13 km.
The quake was also felt in the districts of Ujar, Aghdash, Shamakhy, Zagatala, Balaken, Sheki, Gabala, Ismayilli, Tovuz, Salyan, Sabirabad, and in the cities of Shirvan and Mingachevir.
Tremors were felt in Georgia, Artsakh and Armenia.
