US Official: IS Makes and Uses Chemical Weapons in Iraq and Syria
The US government has suspicions that the Islamic Group militants are making and using crude chemical weapons in Iraq and Syria, but in powder form. A US official told this BBC.
According to the official, the US believes the group has a cell dedicated to building these weapons.
"We've seen them use it on at least four separate occasions on both sides of the border - both Iraq and Syria," he said.
