The first explosion occurred near the north-eastern entrance of the city, controlled by Kurdish YPG forces.
"Ten people were killed, 25 sustained injuries," the source told RIA Novosti.
According to the source, the second explosion took place in the city center exactly half an hour later.
"A tank with 5 tonnes of explosives blew up, about 20 people were killed, dozens were injured," the source added.
